Series; Twenty-Four Generals of Eastern Kai Province, One By One, 1853

Takeda Sama-no-suke Nobushige - Handsome portrait of Takeda Sama-no-suke Nobushige, one of Takeda Shingen's trusted "Twenty-four Generals" during the war between Kai and Echigo provinces. Nobushige was the younger brother of Shingen, and was famous for his wisdom and strategy. He sits on a rug, looking down intently as he fastens a piece of armor at his chest. He wears a fine brown vest patterned with the diamond crest of the Takeda Clan over a suit of armor and a tall black court cap. His swords rest on the ground before him and a cloth tent wall hangs behind him. A handsome design from this rarely seen series.
