Kumano

Hideki Hanabusa's Limited Edition Noh Theater Series - In the mid-20th century, the Kyoto artist Hideki Hanabusa created a limited edition series of five woodblocks illustrating famous plays from the Noh theater. These traditional images feature actors in intricate masks and beautiful costumes, rendered in a very painterly style with soft washes of color.

Published by Tanseisha, this rare edition was limited to only 200 prints for each design, and each is numbered in pencil in the bottom margin. They are almost never found on the market today, especially outside Japan. These beautifully printed subjects are a fantastic choice for a Noh theater enthusiast or a modern print collector. Take advantage of our low opening prices and add a rare Hideki Hanabusa print to your collection!
