Series; The Sixty-nine Stations of the Kisokaido, 1852
Fushimi: Arashi Kichisaburo III - Bold image of Arashi Kichisaburo III as a nobleman in formal court dress. He stares to the side wide-eyed with a tight-lipped frown, obviously alarmed. He wears a voluminous robe patterned with stylized mandarin oranges over a red floral print kimono and a tall black court cap with a burnished pattern. Fushimi appears above, with pines dotting the mountains under a gray evening sky. A great portrait with the figure nicely filling the page, detailed with embossing in the white kimono trim and soft shading in the background.
Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)
Image Size - Approximately 14" x 9 1/2"
