Comments - Edo Era Beauties by Shunsho Attractive diptych from a series by Shunsho depicting beauties going about their daily lives in Edo. Scenes range from enjoying a meal, entertaining guests, and relaxing at a tea stand, to a mother cradling her infant to her chest. Images are softly colored and wonderfully detailed, providing a great look at typical interior settings and household furnishings. These reprints come from a 1917 edition published by Kankokei and Kobunkan. A charming peek at life in old Japan.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Two separate panels. Slight creasing. Some prints have slight soiling. Please see photos for a sense of individual condition. Generally in nice condition overall.
