Daijin Shrine at Funabashi, Shimosa Province, 1860 - Handsome view of travelers climbing to the top of a steep hill to visit the Daijin Shrine at Funabashi in Shimosa Province. A tall wooden torii gate frames the scene at right, with a group of men stopping to chat below while others approach from the steps. The hilltop location provides an attractive view out over the rooftops of the city to the sea beyond, with white sails dotting the horizon as a rosy glow spread across the sky. Nicely colored and shaded.

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Minor staining along edges and in upper half of subject. Slight rubbing and spotting in margins. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
