At right, a beauty out collecting greens pauses for a rest on a rocky ledge beneath a pine tree, smiling as she gestures at the scenery. A filled basket is tied to her back, and she holds a kama or sickle in her other hand. In the center, a mother leads her young daughter by the hand as they enjoy a stroll. The beautiful islands of Matsushima dot the water beyond, each topped with pine trees, with boats sailing among them. An expansive view of this beautiful area, with attractive detail and fine bokashi shading in the water and sky.
