Chronology of Prominent Actors - Handsome portrait from a Kunichika series depicting popular kabuki actors. Each print features a lively figure in character in a rectangular inset with a text inset above featuring delicate embossed lines and softly shaded striped borders. A colorful solid background creates a nice contrast with the insets. These beautifully printed and detailed images include fine line work in the hair and elegant costumes. A nice early actor series by Kunichika that is rarely seen.

Condition - With excellent color and detail. A few small pinpoint holes near edges, repaired from reverse. Minor soiling and rubbing in margins with areas of spotting in some prints. Faint thinning along edges and at corners. Please see photos for a sense of individual condition. Nice overall.
