Reading a Letter by Moonlight - Handsome kabuki scene of a Sawamura Tanosuke as a young samurai reading a letter by moonlight. He looks up with a grin, stretching the long message between his hands. One sleeve of his blue kimono patterned with cherry blossoms is pushed down to the waist, revealing a red under robe. His hair is pulled back into a neat topknot with the ends parted atop his head. A square inset above shows two geese descending for the night past a flowing full moon. An attractive design with vibrant color and fine bokashi shading.
