Watermelon Vender

Comments - Charming image of a watermelon vendor poling his boat along beneath the pilings of a bridge, which frames the view at right. A small boy sits in the craft next to whole and sliced melons, ready to sell them to customers in pleasure boats enjoying an evening on the water. Nicely detailed.

Artist - Hiroshige (1797 - 1858)

Image Size - 8" x 3 1/2"

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Faint toning. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
