Series; Picture Book: Children of the East (Ehon Azuma Warawa)

Picture Book: Children of the East - Handsome design from Toyohiro's series depicting daily life in Edo during the twelve months. Each image shows an activity or pastime for the month, including visits to temples and shrines, entertaining guests at teahouses, enjoying the evening cool, traveling by ferry, and shopping. These attractive illustrations feature wonderful detail and soft color. These reprints come from a 1917 edition published by Kankokei and Kobunkan. Very few original copies of this work exist, so these reprints provide a great opportunity to collect these classic Toyohiro scenes.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Two separate panels. Some prints have slight soiling or faint toning. Please see photos for a sense of individual condition. Generally in good condition overall.
