Moonlit Evening at Takanawa, circa 1839 - 1842 - Beautiful evening view of the busy waterfront at Takanawa. Porters carry passengers by palanquin and a man rides atop a horse laden with woven trunks, his face hidden by a large hat. Ships are moored in the harbor for the night, and a flock of birds passes before the glowing full moon. A lovely Hiroshige landscape design with soft shading in the water and sky.

Image Size - 13 3/8" x 8 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Some rubbing and soiling at edges. A few small holes repaired from reverse. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
