47 Ronin, Act 6 - Handsome woodblock scene from Kunisada II's series based on the kabuki play "Kanadehon Chushingura," which tells the fantastic story of the 47 Ronin, who avenged their master's death. Kunisada II designed this series in 1851, setting the figures into attractive landscape and interior settings which differ somewhat from the traditional choice of subjects employed by earlier artists. These interesting scenes are a nice option for a collector interested in this classic tale of honor and revenge.
