Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of Nakamura Fukusuke I as the greengrocer Yaoya Hanbei, smiling happily as he carries his child in his arms. He looks over his shoulder with a grin as he stands inside his shop, with boxes, wooden tubs, and other containers stacked on shelves at the back of the room. A kettle sits atop the red coals of a brazier at right, and a soft rosy glow comes from the lamp at left. A nice figure with an attractively detailed setting.

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Some rubbing and soiling at edges. A couple light creases. A few small holes repaired from reverse. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
