Children's Refinements - Charming design from a Miyagawa Shuntei series depicting children in a variety of activities from daily life. These images offer a wonderful glimpse into the life of the upper class in Meiji era Japan, with young girls playing games outdoors, practicing dance or music, or learning valuable skills like needlework. Finely detailed figures are set into softly colored backgrounds, creating delightful images popular with collectors and for display.

Image Size - 8 1/4" x 12 1/2" + margins as shown
Condition - With excellent color and detail. Lightly toned throughout with a few pinpoint holes along right-hand margin, repaired from reverse. Slight thinning along left-hand edge of panel with minor spotting and soiling in subject. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
