Beauty at the Sumida River

Comments - Attractive portrait of a beauty with a view of the Sumida River behind her. She waves as she looks back over her shoulder, her mouth slightly agape. She wears a black robe bordered with ducks on a pond under falling snow, tied with a striped blue obi with floral medallions. A gourd-shaped container sits on a bench covered with a checked mat at right, while a cloud-like border separates the figure from the river scene. A charming design with soft pink shading in the clouds.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 9 3/4" x 14 1/2"

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Some wrinkling and creasing in subject. Some light staining at upper right corner. A few small holes repaired from reverse. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
