Father and Son Arguing

Comments - Handsome kabuki scene from the popular play "Yoshitsune Sembon Zakura" featuring Matsumoto Koshiro as Igami no Gonta arguing with his father, Yazaemon, played by Sawamura Shirogoro. Gonta kneels at left, looking up with a grimace at the elderly Yazaemon, who glares back at him angrily. Gonta wears an informal tie-dyed kimono a dotted towel resting over one knee. His father wears a tan kimono over a blue, leaf print under robe. Nicely detailed with expressive faces and fine line work in the hair.
