If you're new to Fuji Arts clearance, here is the best tip we can give you: Check often, because the best prints move lightning fast!

From the Uchida Publisher Archives - We were fortunate to purchase a wonderful collection of 20th century prints directly from the archives of the Uchida Art Company of Kyoto. The classic 20th century prints offered in our auction from this collection are all first edition prints of various designs released by the Uchida company in the mid-20th century. These first edition prints are unusual to come by in a nice group as they were generally sold off as they were produced. This excellent collection was held back and recently sold from the Uchida archives. These prints are a nice opportunity to collect a lovely 20th century print, or perfect as reasonably priced gifts. Don't miss out on these prints, once they sell out, we won't have them again!

Comments - Lovely design from a series of classic kacho-e or birds and flowers prints by Shizuo Ashikaga. The charming woodblocks feature colorful birds perched on blossoming branches. The birds are nicely detailed with delicate line work, and the backgrounds are softly shaded. These attractive images would make wonderful framed accents for any decor.

Artist - Shizuo Ashikaga (active circa 1950s)

Image Size - 7 3/8" x 4 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Slight creasing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.

What can I find on clearance?

- Prints that have moved through our auctions and are ready to go below cost.
- Prints that are overstocked.
- Prints with condition issues.

Prints are identified as original or reprint, and artist information is offered when known. We include excellent photos of each print, as well as a brief condition report.

While you're shopping, keep in mind that some condition issues could simply be framed out, some could be easily repaired, and others just allow you to enjoy owning a 19th century original at a bargain price. Of course, many prints are in excellent condition, just needing to be cleared out.

So, check out all the clearance offers and find prints that suit your taste.
Enjoy the Clearance treasure hunt!
