Warrior in a Dragon Kimono

Comments - Handsome kabuki scene featuring an angry warrior wearing a kimono with a striking pattern of a dragon over his armor. He grimaces angrily at left, crossing his arms before him. The beauty in the center seems slightly alarmed by his behavior, throwing her hand out with a worried expression. The couple at right seems not to notice, as they continue chatting. The woman holds a pale yellow kimono over her head as the young man grins back up at her. A border of colorful maple leaves frames the image overhead. Nice large figures with fine detail in the hair and vibrant color.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 27 7/8" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Three panels, not attached at the seams. Horizontal center fold in each panel. Slight thinning at right edge of right panel, repaired, blends well. Creasing, slight soiling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
