Beauty in the Yoshiwara, 1856

Comments - Charming scene of a beauty strolling through the Yoshiwara, smiling and waving to a companion as she looks back over her shoulder. A small girl accompanies her, gesturing excitedly with both hands as she rushes forward. At left, a samurai with his face covered with a hood is followed by a servant carrying his swords, the weapons protectively wrapped in cloth for traveling.

Image Size - 14" x 9 7/8" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top edge from previous mounting. Faint stains at edges from previous mounting. Slight creasing and soiling. Please see photos for details.
