Meiji Emperor Attending a Banquet

Comments - Terrific scene of a ceremonial banquet at the Meiji Imperial Palace. Dressed in military uniform, the emperor sits on a plush chair trimmed with fringe atop a platform at right. A cloth-covered table holds dishes piled with refreshments, while the fellow at far left holds out an enormous sake cup of sake. Fine detail in the elegant interior setting and furnishings. An interesting subject.

Artist - Meiji era artist (unsigned)

Image Size - 14" x 18 5/8" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Two panels, not attached at the seams. A few small holes, slight creasing at edges, very slight soiling. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
