Comments - Intriguing sheet of blank stationery with a decorative frame. A large fluttering flag creates the area for writing, carried by a cartoonish man running and shouting as he looks back over his shoulder, as if announcing the news that will be written in the blank space. He wears a double-breasted gray jacket, diamond patterned pants, boots, and a hat with a large brim. The flag is surrounded by a blue field with flowers in each corner, trimmed with a red border. A fascinating Meiji era woodblock design.
