Cherry Blossom Picnic, 1897 - Lovely image of three beauties and a young girl enjoying a picnic outing under a blossoming cherry tree. Two women sit on a cloth spread under the tree with lacquer containers of refreshments at hand. Elegant kimono are draped over a red sash tied to the tree behind them to provide privacy for the group. In the center, a beauty gently shakes a flowering branch, causing a shower of delicate petals to rain down into the upturned hands of the smiling girl. A beautiful spring image with fine detail and lovely coloring in the sumptuous fabrics, plus touches of gleaming silver.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Three panels, not attached at the seams, backed with paper. Slightly curled. Some toning and spotting at edges. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
