Women Overnight Guests

Comments - Fantastic Utamaro triptych depicting beauties behind the mosquito netting as they retire for the evening. At left, a beauty ties up the netting for the night while a servant at right holds out a sheer black silk kimono. The woman in the center fastens a sash about her waist, while three other beauties relax on the bedding inside the net. A beautiful subject with fine line work and a soft color palette. A rare find and a wonderful choice for display.
