Comments - Dramatic kabuki portrait of a warrior breaking free from his imprisonment, a broken chain hanging at either side of the figure. He grimaces ferociously, his eyes bulging and hair flying as he strikes a pose with one arm out and his foot atop a log. A great image from the early years of color woodblock prints.
