Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of a beauty holding a sword and clenching a roll of tissues between her teeth as she looks over her shoulder at two male companions. The samurai in the center regards her with a stern frown as he pushes up the sleeve of his black kimono. The fellow at right holds a slender pipe, watching the couple with a tight-lipped frown and eyes wide. Curtains line the back of the room, with silhouettes of grasses and leaves across the lower portion beneath red panels adorned with purple bows. Fine expressive figures with nice detail in the hair and lively color.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Three panels, not attached at the seams, backed with somewhat stiff paper. Paper remnants along top and bottom edges from previous mounting. Slight soiling, a few creases and wrinkles. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
