Beauty Applying Makeup to her Neck

Series; Eight Views of Women

Beauty Applying Makeup to her Neck - Charming reprint of a beauty seated before a makeup chest, using a hand mirror as she applies white makeup to the nape of her neck. Her kimono is pushed down around her waist as she carefully tends to her toilette. A blue and white porcelain container of makeup sits on the chest next to a small towel, and a large brush rests across an open drawer. A classic Edo era beauty subject, with fine detail in the household furnishings.

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 10 1/8"

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Slight thinning and paper remnants from previous backing along top edge. Light creasing at corner. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
