Series; The Twelve Months

The Second Month: Viewing Plum Blossoms, 1854 - Charming portrait of a beauty on an outing to view plum blossoms. She wears a blue kimono bordered with magic foxes in procession, smiling happily as she leans forward, lifting the hem with one hand. A purse wrapped in tissues is tucked into her black obi, and her hair is pulled back into a smooth knot adorned with hairpins. White blossoms and buds frame the gray sky above a bamboo garden fence and flowering yellow shrubs. An attractive design.
