Series; Kanadehon Chushingura, 1858
47 Ronin, Act 6 - Handsome kabuki scene from the "Kanadehon Chushingura," the play based on the true story of the 47 ronin. The beautiful young Okaru has been sold to a brothel and is being carried away by palanquin at upper left. Inside the house, her husband Kampei is accused of killing his father-in-law, the stolen moneybag on the floor beside him as Okaru's mother weeps.
