Young Woman Catching Fireflies Pillar Print

Comments - Lovely Harunobu pillar print design of a young woman chasing fireflies in summer, using her round fan to gently knock them down and capture them. She wears a striped summer kimono over a red under robe, her arms visible through the gauzy fabric, and chunky wooden geta sandals. Irises bloom along the edge of a flowing stream at lower left, beneath a gray evening sky. A charming subject with delicate embossed detail in the ribs of the fan. A fine-large format design, rarely seen in reprint.

Artist - Harunobu (1724 - 1770)

Image Size - 26" x 5 7/8" + top margin as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Faint toning, creasing, slight soiling. Please note: folded twice by publisher for storage, will be shipped folded, could be flattened to frame. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
