Comments - Terrific large format kabuki portrait of Otani Hiroji II in the role of the merchant Amakawaya Gihei in the popular play "Kanadehon Chushingura." He looks over his shoulder with a scowl as he folds his umbrella. He wears a gray coat over a yellow and green plaid kimono. The pale green background provides a nice contrast to the soft muted tones. A great choice for display.
