Nawa Nagatoshi - Handsome portrait of the warrior Nawa Nagatoshi standing at the stairs to the ruined Imperial Palace, grimacing angrily, his face partially hidden by the shoulder plate of his armor, which features an odd image of a boat. He holds his battle helmet, his gloved hand resting on the newel post of the stairs, broken objects littering the ground around him. A tattered reed blind hangs over the verandah railing above, evidence of the damage to the site after the exile of Emperor Go-daigo. An intriguing subject with wonderful detail in the armor and weapons, plus touches of burnishing.
