Ogyu Sorai - Charming image of the young Ogyu Sorai studying a book while doing his chores. He looks up with a defiant expression, an open book in his hand. An ox stands behind him, and he has a rake tied over his back. Another child sits on the ground nearby, looking up at him expectantly. Ogyu Sorai became an influential Confucian philosopher and scholar, advocating applying Confucian teachings to government and social order. An intriguing scene with beautiful detail in the ox's hair.
