Cherry Blossom Viewing - Beautiful triptych of a beauty and her young attendant viewing delicate pink and white cherry blossoms. The beauty wears a lovely aqua kimono with an intricate pattern of wisteria blossoms and a royal cart on the sleeve. She shades her eyes with an elegant fan, the ribs gently embossed, and a small lacquer case is tucked into the front of her robe. A canvas tent wall is tied to the cherry tree at right to provide privacy for a picnic. Beautifully detailed with fine embossing in the white kimono collars and tent fabric, and burnishing in the hair. A wonderful springtime subject, exquisitely printed.

Artist - Chikanobu (1838 - 1912)

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 28"

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Three panels, not attached at the seams, backed with paper. Faint offsetting, very slight soiling, one very small rubbed spot. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
