Comments - A fantastic and rare opportunity to own 2 hand-painted plates depicting the erotic adventures of two lovers. Produced in the Meiji era, this matching set depicts the same pair in each painted plate - note the same flower in the young woman's hair. A fascinating opportunity for a collector. These two plates come in the original box.

Condition - Plates: With excellent color and detail. Fine, rich colors without blemishes or defects. Visible brush strokes from this wonderful, hand painted work. Please see photos for details. Nice overall. Box: Some rubbing, creasing and wear. Some spots and stains. Still functions as decent protection for the plates in transit.
