Comments - Intriguing kabuki portrait of an actor in the role of Soga Juro, the older of the famous Soga Brothers. He grips a sword as he stares over his shoulder with a frown, his long hair flowing wildly over his shoulders. The figure is set in front of a Western clock face with roman numerals, a very unusual detail. Fan prints by Kunichika are very rarely seen on the market, and this fascinating design would make a terrific addition to a kabuki collection.
