Wisteria at Kameido Tenjin Shrine, circa 1839 - 1842 - Lovely Hiroshige view of the famous Kameido Tenjin Shrine on a spring day. Visitors relax on benches under a canopy of delicate wisteria blossoms. The unique perspective shows the drum bridge head-on, with the shrine directly behind it across the water. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection. A wonderful Hiroshige landscape of this well-known site.

Condition - With excellent color and detail. A number of small holes and losses repaired from reverse. Some light soiling at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
