The Courtesan Takigawa at the First Sale of the New Year Celebration in the Parlor

Comments - A striking, full-length portrait of the famous Gion courtesan Takigawa, elegantly dressed in a flowing kimono. She adjusts a hairpin as she looks over her shoulder, her robes trailing gracefully onto the floor around. Beautiful Eishi print with lovely color and a softly shimmering mica background. A fine old reprint and a wonderful choice for display.

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 9 3/8"

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Paper remnants on reverse at top corners from previous folio mounting. Light toning. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
