Beauty and Attendant in Snow

Comments - Lovely scene of a beauty pausing during a winter stroll so her attendant can clean the snow from her tall wooden geta sandals. She balances on one foot as the attendant kneels beside her. She wears a beautiful rose colored kimono bordered with flowers and a gray scarf about her head. An umbrella shields her from the heavily falling snow. A beautiful scene from daily life in old Edo. A rare design to find in reprint.

Artist - Koryusai (1735 - 1790)

Image Size - 11" x 8 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Faint toning, a few small spots, slight soiling, slight creasing at edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
