From the Uchida Publisher Archives - We were fortunate to purchase a wonderful collection of 20th century prints directly from the archives of the Uchida Art Company of
Comments - Beautiful view of the enormous bonfires on the side of Mt. Daimonji in Kyoto. The fires form the kanji character for "great," and are lit annually in late summer at the close of the Bon Festival. The glowing yellow fires form an attractive contrast to the muted green and blue tones of the foliage, sky, and water. A lovely landscape, beautifully composed and colored.
