Comments - Handsome complete Volume 1 from a six-volume series "Sutra on the Effects of Good and Evil" (Zen'aku ingakyou wadan zue), written by Kinsui Shotei with woodblock illustrations by Utagawa Sadahide. Includes 9 diptychs, 6 in black and white and 3 in color, with subjects ranging from Buddhist monks to scenes from daily life, plus many pages of text. An interesting subject with nicely detailed prints.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. A few wormholes, slight soiling, slight creasing and wear to edges of pages. Paper covers soiled, worn, creased, stained and rubbed.
