Catching Fireflies

Series; Inner Chiyoda Palace (Chiyoda no Ooku)

Catching Fireflies - Beautiful scene of two beauties and a young girl catching fireflies in a garden under a willow tree, with the gentle glow of fireflies in the evening sky. The beauty at right carries a small cage to hold the insects, a round fan caught between her teeth. Lovely color and detail in the sumptuous kimono fabrics, including delicate embossing in the white trim. A charming print that would make a wonderful framed presentation.

Artist - Chikanobu (1838 - 1912)

Image Size - 13 7/8" x 27 1/4"

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Three panels, not attached at the seams, backed with paper. A few small spots, very slight soiling. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
