A View of Mansei Bridge in Tokyo

Comments - Terrific scene of sumo wrestlers gathered in a park in Tokyo, with a view of the stone Mansei Bridge behind them. The men smile and chat as they stand under the flowering cherry trees covered with blossoms shaded from white to pink to red. Five men wear black coats with a variety of subtle burnished patterns, and several carry folding fans. Each is carefully identified with a red name cartouche. Pedestrians can be seen crossing the bridge, with the rooftops of the city stretching out along the horizon at right. An intriguing image with lively color and wonderful detail. A great subject for a sumo enthusiast.
