Comments - Attractive scene of Prince Genji and a beauty on a winter day, strolling through the snow. The young nobleman smiles happily as he chats with a companion, wearing a black print coat with a pleated collar over his kimono. The beauty is dressed in a green floral outer robe, her hair adorned with clusters of flowers and ornaments. An attendant shelters the couple under an umbrella with a tie-dyed cloth ruffle. The terrace is framed by a fancy railing, overlooking the river, the opposite shore dotted with houses and foliage covered with snow. Beautiful color and detail in this attractive scene, with soft shading in the water and sky.
