Series; Inner Chiyoda Palace (Chiyoda no Ooku)

Cherry Blossom Viewing - Wonderful triptych of court ladies viewing cherry blossoms in an expansive park. Several of the women play blind man's bluff while others stroll under the blooming trees. A lovely spring landscape with Mt. Fuji visible in the distance, the view framed by blossoms. A charming woodblock depicting this annual celebration, nicely detailed with embossing in the white kimono trim and fine bokashi shading in the background. The Boston Museum of Fine Arts has this image in its collection.

Image Size - 28" x 14 1/8" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Three panels attached at the seams. Some light rubbing and soiling at edges. A few small holes repaired from reverse. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
