Galloping Samurai

Comments - Terrific image of a samurai galloping along on his brown horse, turning to look back over his shoulder as he rides. He wears armor over a red kimono, his helmet topped with a demon's head and horns, gripping his sword in one hand. A wonderful sense of movement with the horse's flowing tail and the blue tasseled horse equipment fluttering in the wind. A handsome portrait.

Artist - Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861)

Image Size - 14" x 9 7/8"

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Backed with paper. A few small holes, repaired, blends well. Slight soiling and creasing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
